Hopefully, you didn't overindulge on chocolate eggs over the Easter long weekend!
The good news is:
*Good quality chocolate contains vitamins A, B1, C, D and E plus iron, calcium, potassium and high levels of magnesium.
*It releases feel-good chemicals in our brains.
*Chocolate (particularly quality dark chocolate) is high in antioxidants, potentially reducing the risk of developing some forms of cardiovascular disease and other illnesses.
Time to take stock?
*A couple of creme eggs will set you back 400 calories (22g fat, 14g is saturated).
*A small 200g chocolate egg will give you 520 calories (29.2g fat, 18g saturated)
*A 120g bag of harmless mini eggs will mean you have eaten 660 calories (36g fat, 22g saturated)
